About this speaker
Naomi Bluesummers is the Operations Coordinator of the Wahiawā Value-Added Product Development Center, a partnership between Leeward Community College and the State of Hawaiʻi that will contribute to the growth of Hawai’i’s agricultural industry and entrepreneurial community through access to production kitchens, in-house product development expertise, and educational programming. Naomi’s past experience includes managing the sensory program for a major grocery retailer's private label, coordinating consumer studies to validate new products prior to market launch. Most recently she oversaw quality assurance for Hāmākua Macadamia Nut Company, an agricultural processor and value-added product manufacturer. Naomi is a graduate of UH-Mānoa with a B.S. in Food Science.
